Rio Tinto Iron Ore: Dampier Port Upgrade Phase B, Dampier WA
At the completion of Phase A of the port expansion, Rio Tinto Iron Ore embarked on Phase B. Phase B will increase port capacity from 116 Mtpa to 140 Mtpa. The Monadelphous project team remained on site to commence Phase B. The work commenced in January 2006. Monadelphous was awarded the construction contract for the rail Car Dumper #4 and the drafting, fabrication of the associated transfer stations, conveyors and piping. This project is currently on schedule for successful completion at the end of 2007. |
