Oxiana: Prominent Hill Gold Mine Project

Monadelphous has recently been awarded a structural, mechanical and piping contract as part of Oxiana's Prominent Hill Gold Mine project in South Australia. The project will include development on an open-pit mine, a conventional grinding and flotation processing plant with an 8mtpa capacity, construction of a haulage road, power line and bore field, and a permanent village for approximately 400 workers.
The Monadelphous contract involves work on the crushing, screening and mills areas. Monadelphous is due to mobilise to site in November 2007 with completion expected in May 2008. The contract will involve around 150,000 man hours and we expect a peak labour force of around 120.

This is the first time that Monadelphous has worked with Oxiana, an Australian based international mining and exploration company with operations and offices in Laos and Australia. Monadelphous will draw on its experience in gold mining and particularly mills in successfully completing the contract for our client.
