Newcrest Mining: Maintenance Services, Western Australia

Monadelphous has held the contract for the provision of maintenance services at Newcrest Mining’s Telfer gold mine in the Pilbara since 1997. Since late 2000 the plant has been in care and maintenance pending a major expansion which will see Telfer become one of the largest gold mines in Australia.

Monadelphous provided care and maintenance personnel for the processing plant and maintenance services for the diesel power station, surface HV reticulation system, underground fixed plant, light vehicle fleet and miscellaneous mobile mining equipment.
