Monadelphous successfully completed the trial work area using the concept and product of Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) piping which proved the system would be appropriate for the Waterflood Network Remediation & Production Flowline Remediation. Monadelphous executed, incident free, the commissioning of the first work area and completed the project 10 per cent under budget. This is the first above ground, 600 class GRE pipeline system in the world, and represents a benchmark installation for environmentally sensitive areas. The Waterflood Network Remediation Project consists of 30km of large and small bore high pressure GRE pipe, and commenced in early 2006 and the Production Flowline Remediation Project consists of 570km of small bore low pressure GRE pipe and commenced in early 2004. The workforce for the entire contract has increased steadily in personnel and peaked at 75 in June 2006. Work is expected to continue through to 2008. |
