Chevron Australia Pty Ltd: Barrow & Thevenard Islands General Maintenance Contract, Barrow Island WA
Monadelphous has held the General Maintenance Contract for Barrow and Thevenard Islands since June 2001, reflecting the strength of the relationship with Chevron. The contract scope is diverse and challenging in the remote environment and includes management, planning and execution of general maintenance by a core, multi-skilled workforce of 20-25 trades and semi skilled workers. All plant and equipment on Barrow Island is maintained by Monadelphous who are also responsible for the supply and operation of cranage, welding trucks, light vehicles, backhoe, bobcat, welding machines and other plant and equipment. Direct management of third party contractors is part of scope of this contract and can include scrap metal and waste management, tank cleaning, surveying, drilling and other contractors as required by Chevron. Monadelphous provide management of off site repairs and fabrication, supply and installation of scaffolding and supplementary hire for production personnel for leave coverage. In September 2006, Monadelphous achieved 1,000 days lost time injury free, an outstanding achievement for a contract of such breadth and diversity. In addition to general maintenance Monadelphous also provides a dedicated flexible project team generally comprising of 50 personnel onsite supported by management, engineering and planning support from Perth. |
