BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA): Peak Downs Shutdown, Peak Downs QLD
Monadelphous was contracted to provide labour, equipment, materials and management of subcontractors for the half yearly coal handling & preparation plant (CHPP) shutdown. Monadelphous supplied approximately 95 personnel plus about 40 pressure cleaning/paint & blast subcontractors. With only three weeks notice Monadelphous was put under real pressure to deliver a high quality outage. The shutdown occurred over the Easter period which further limited the availability of personnel. Even with these constraints the shutdown commenced on time and was fully resourced. The shutdown was managed and executed by Monadelphous LTI free, and within the 19 day critical time path. This was a major shutdown for the client, BMA, and also for Monadelphous in the Eastern Region. |
