BHP Billiton Iron Ore: Rapid Growth Project 4 - Finucane Island Stockyard Upgrade

Monadelphous has secured another construction package as part of the RGP4 expansion project. This contract is for the construction of a new stockyard and upgrade to an existing stockyard at BHP Billiton’s Finucane Island port facility.

The contract is due to mobilise in January 2008 for the structural, mechanical and piping works associated with the construction and upgrade to conveyor systems and transfer stations. The project will also involve the demolition of redundant transfer stations, conveyors and footings.

The contract will be undertaken in an operating plant with an anticipated workforce of 80 at the height of construction. This project is due for completion in January 2009.
