BHP Billiton Iron Ore: Rapid Growth 4 – Yandi Sample Station, Yandi Mine WABHP Billiton awarded Monadelphous the contract to construct one new sample stations and modify two existing sample station and associated conveyor systems across the two BHP Billiton Yandi Mines. The project includes civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works associated with the construction and modifications to the stations. An initial team of 15 were mobilised to site in August 2007 and at the height of construction it is anticipated the team will grow to 30. This project provides significant challenges for the team as they are working to a tight schedule in an operating plant. The project is scheduled for completion in January 2008. |
