Anglo Coal: Dawson Coal Handling and Preparation Plant Maintenance Services Contract, Moura, QLD

Monadelphous have recently been awarded the maintenance services contract for the new coal preparation plant and associated infrastructure at the Dawson mine. The mine (formerly known as Moura mine) has recently been expanded to include a new coal preparation plant (the largest in the southern hemisphere), additional mining equipment, coal conveying system and rail load out facilities. The maintenance services contract has been initially awarded for 12 months with a further 12 month option.

The Monadelphous team commenced on site in mid September with a team of 20 personnel. The contract involves all mechanical, structural and electrical maintenance of the coal preparation plant, including the 18 km cable-belt conveyor which feeds into the plant.
